Zero Spanish to a real conversation. Drilled, then tested, then allowed to move on.
You will not advance until you can do it out loud.
Dilo drills a handful of high-frequency chunks, then puts you in an unscripted Spanish conversation in the same session. Between levels, a short oral check will decide whether you move on; the beta ships without it and we say so. Built on how FSI and Peace Corps train adults, not on a secret.
You are on the list.
We keep your name, email and phone number for the beta invitation and the notes, nothing else. The invitation comes by email when a seat opens.
You ordered tacos al pastor. They brought pollo.
Aquí tiene, tacos de pollo. ¿Algo más?
Eh... perdón, yo pedí el pastor.
¿Al pastor? Disculpe. ¿Quiere que lo cambie?
Your turn
Drill, then use, within minutes.
Ten minutes of spoken drills, then an AI partner who stays in Spanish and uses your real name, city and plans. The step from mimicry to communication is short on purpose.
Corrections, not scores.
Specific recasts, not a score. We blind-rate our feedback against a human tutor and will publish the agreement rate before launch.
A gate, not a streak.
Level 2 will end with "order food and handle a wrong order without switching to English." Pass it and you move. Miss it and you drill what fumbled, then try again straight away. The check arrives after the beta; once it does, nothing else advances you.
Dilo is not fluent in 30 days. B1 takes roughly 350 to 400 hours; at one hour a day that is about a year. There are no hearts, no XP, no leaderboards, no word banks. If you want a habit game, Duolingo is free and good at that.
